Gautam Gambhir may miss ODI series

Leicester, Aug 29: Gautam Gambhir, the opening batsman of India with his little betterment in his painful condition for the past ten days might force him to return home. Gambhir did not have his entry in both the innings of the Oval Test. As his attempt to catch a pull by Kevin Pietersen on the final test on August 19 at the Oval has knocked on his head, which led him to suffer from the blurred vision.

India has lost their number one test rankings as they are washed out with 4-0 in the test series against England. In the forthcoming one day series, Gautam is likely to suffer the fate of the likes of Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag who joined the Indian squad and left without lending considerably to the team’s cause.

Yet Gambhir’s condition hasn’t been improved. His participation in the ODI series has put in doubt as he can be out of action for three to four weeks.
